NS trial Apr 17/18 Upper Stewiacke, NS

The NS club is hosting a quail trial Apr 17/18 on Darren Miller's ground in Upper Stewiacke (902 671 1956). It's about 1 hour from the NB border so is central in the Maritimes. Accomodations are at Deer Country Lodge (902 671 2749 and ask for Debby.)

Saturday's schedule starts with a open shooting dog stake at 7:30 am, followed by an open derby. The entry fee for each is $35.00. After the derby, there will be a Gun dog Classic( entry fee $30) where the judging stops at the flush. This is a great way to show fine hunting dogs or to get a feel for running a dog in a trial.

On Sunday the day starts with an open Shooting dog ($35); an open derby ($35) and a puppy stake ($25).

There will be a banquet Saturday evening at the lodge.

The emphasis of the trial will be to have an enjoyable weekend; to help new triallers to show their dogs, and to celebrate the end of winter.
